SMC/BMC Composites KUVADUR
Our high-performance products made from glass-fiber reinforced materials like Sheet Molding Compounds (SMC), and Bulk Molding Compounds (BMC) are used when very high flexural, impact and tensile strength as well as good electrical properties are needed. Often these features have to be combined with resistance to harsh chemicals and weather conditions. Due to advantages like, e.g., lightweight or good impact strength, these products often replace traditional structural components from metal or ceramics or sometimes represent an alternative to cast-epoxy resin products.
