High mechanical resilience, many years of smooth operation and low maintenance requirements are important aspects regarding insulators for catenaries. These supply the traction units with electricity – in the case of railroads and streetcars, mainly in overhead contact lines; in the case of subways and tunnels, mostly in the form of conductor rails. KUVAG has been developing tailor-made solutions for this sector for decades, and these fully meet all requirements.

Our KUVAG product range includes insulation solutions for subway third rails, support and shackle insulators for catenaries, and loop insulators for streetcar catenaries. We also additionally offer complete innovative solutions for subway third rails. Depending on the application, we develop our products from SMC (sheet molding compound), epoxy resin, thermoplastic or silicone composites.
