FULL FLEXIBILITY
FULL SECURITY
The basic prerequisite for safe work on electrical equipment is to determine whether or not the system is electrically live. Thus, in the vast majority of MV switchgear, VPIS systems (according to EN 61958) or VDS systems (according to EN 61243-5) are integral parts of the electrical equipment. VDS systems meet higher safety requirements concerning the detection of applied voltages. An integrated system consists of an indicator, an insulator with a capacitive tap and suitable connecting cables.
DECADES OF EXPERIENCE
More than 20 years ago, KUVAG developed a VDS system in close cooperation with our customers, offering the highest requirements for reliability, service life, and safety. Hundreds of thousands of KUVAG display systems have been used worldwide as an essential part of the safety concept for service technicians. Of course, every customer has specific requirements for VDS systems in the field, so, logically, the KUVAG display system has been continuously developed, and numerous options have been added since then. Requests for functions such as phase sequence monitoring, easy verification of functionality, or output relays that allow remote transmission of voltage status information or additional safety functions such as equipment door interlocking can thus be met. There are also preferences regarding the visual display, such as particularly good readability even in poor lighting conditions, viewing from great distances, large viewing angles, or low power consumption. Visualization can thus be through LED or LCD displays. In addition to the proven CPI plus system, the newly developed KUVIN system is now also available.
At KUVAG, we bring together maximum safety and maximum flexibility. Full flexibility and openness to the requirements of our customers is our approach. Of course, this is especially true when it comes to display systems for switchgear.
